Recife

With around 1.5 m habitants the capital city of Pernambuco is the largest city in North Eastern Brazil.
Today Recife is a modern trading and port city. You will discover impressive modern skyscrapers next to old building from the 17th century. Recife has two little islands that are only a few metres away from the mainland representing the historical centre of the astonishing city.

During the trip you will get to know the traditional Brazilian lifestyle. You will visit many sites, such as the Marco Zero, the Government Palace, the Golden Chapel, the marketplace, the Casa de Cultura and the Ricardo Brennand-Institute, which has a large collection of art works and weapons as well as a beautiful and well-kept park.

Enjoy the traditional Rodizio for lunch in a high-class Churrascaria.

 

Olinda

Olinda is the formaer capital of Pernambuco and is beautifully located at the hillsite, between coconutpalmtrees and mangotrees. Today it can call itself UNESCO World Heritage Site. Numerous building from the 17th century, the chapels and churches of Portuguese, Dutch and Franciscan style form a fascinating image of a picturesque old town.
I the colonial city of Olinda you will see numerous old buildings, chapels and churches; visit the little art market and enjoy the sunset from one of the viewpoints or a bar or restaurant overlooking Olinda and the skyline of Recife.

 

 
Itamaracá

On the Island Itamaraca you can visit a famous fort that dates back to the colonial period, built by the Dutch in 1631. In the 17th century the fort served as base for the Dutch, who where involved in numerous battles against the inhabitants of the Portuguese colonies in Recife and Olinda. The fort gives you the special opportunity to experience the colonial period, with its old battlements and cannonry that make the site a beautiful place.

The boat trip offers a number of destinations on sea, on the river and on land. You can take a trip through the mangroves, spend some time on two islands, visit the "Fort Orange" and the sea cow farm, take a sunbath at a beach with the locals, picnic at a river in the jungle or snorkel at the ocean's reef. This trip is a must for any Brazil-visitor!

 

Porto de Galinhas

Porto de Galinhas is a small place 60 km south from Recife. This place is one of the most beautiful beach-spots of the country, not only for tourists. The locals enjoy their little tropical spot as much and welcome any visitor.

The place is known for its nature and its coral reefs. The coast is to a considerable extend protected by reefs forming natural basins. The water is clear enough so see a variety of colourful fish.
You will spend the day at one of Brazil's most beautiful and famous beaches. The beautiful nature, fascinating bathing spots with crystal clear water and many coral reefs, the azure sea and endless sand beaches lined with palm, and cashew trees will captivate you.

 

   
   
Jeep Safari

The drive through the tropical nature holds wonderful impressions and is a great experience for any nature -loving hiker. The trails lead through mountains and hills and allow breathtaking views onto the tropical landscape, river and channels. On the region's mountains you will be able to discover and closely experience fascinating waterfalls during a hike.

The jeep safari offers an adventurous experience through the exotic landscape of Brazil. The unique jeep trips take you to three waterfalls, a fruit farm and a little manioc factory. During the last part of the trip on the Jeep's roof, you will meet exotic animals such as the crocodile, the sloth or the capybara, making the trip a memorable adventure.
